Threshold - Loose Incense (Frankincense, Sage & Juniper)

A loose blend for doorways and turning points, frankincense, sage, and juniper, three of the old smoke-herbs burned to clear a space and mark the line between one thing and the next. Named for the threshold because that's where it earns its keep: the moment before, the crossing over, the settling in.

Frankincense resin lends a warm, balsamic depth; garden sage carries the familiar clean cut of smoke; and juniper brings a sharp, green, resinous bite long tied to warding and protection. Together they burn earthy and bright, more woodland than perfume counter.

Loose incense is meant to be worked, not just lit. A small pinch on a lit charcoal disc, in a heatproof dish or censer, releasing smoke you can direct where it's wanted.
